AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that defies usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized release, "A strange meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret cult.
The questline centers on "strange tests and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an special katana alongside multiple objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
